MEDICAL RECOMMENDATION

RUNBIKING is a new sports activity which primarily activates the muscles of the deep stabilisation system and acts comprehensibly on the entire organism.

RUNBIKING recalls running.

Thanks to its unique structure and a certain degree of instability, the RUNBIKE reflexively activates the muscles of the spine’s deep stabilisation system and optimises its functions. Riding the RUNBIKE is reminiscent of riding a bicycle, but it places greater demands on the rider when maintaining balance and working with his or her centre of gravity.

RUNBIKING positively influences the erect posture of the body, balance, muscles coordination and therefore also the quality of the realisation of the movements. It develops flexibility, muscle strength and endurance. The optimisation of the use of the muscle strength leads to smaller energy use during performance, which is important not only for professionals, but also for recreational sportspeople.

Mental tension and stress are relieved in an entertaining and healthy way when riding.

RUNBIKING is a suitable rehabilitation and compensation activity for people with chronic back pain, but also for those who wish to avoid problems with their muscles and joints.

 

WHEN TO CONSULT A DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR STATE OF HEALTH

As with every sports activity, it is always necessary to responsibly evaluate your state of health and ability before every ride on the RUNBIKE. RUNBIKING is certainly not only a sport for absolutely healthy people. On the contrary, when used with suitable and targeted training, it may have
a positive influence on the improvement or compensation of your state of health. Despite that, ill people should only use the RUNBIKE upon the advice of a doctor.

 

States of health where prior consultation with a doctor is recommended:

  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • cardiac illnesses
  • illnesses of the veins in the lower limbs
  • respiratory illnesses (for example, asthma)
  • diabetes (type I and II)
  • balance disorders, dizziness
  • serious illnesses of the muscles and/or joints (scoliosis, osteoporosis, arthritis in the main load-bearing joints, slipped disks, etc.)

 

Riding the RUNBIKE is not recommended under any circumstances for epileptics!
